AIMA E-Bikes Warranty Canada
- Warranty Coverage
AIMA provides a limited warranty on their E-Bikes sold in Canada, ensuring that they are free from manufacturing defects and workmanship under normal use and conditions. This warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
- Warranty Periods
- Frame: Two (2) year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This applies to the frame only and covers structural failure (cracking, breaking, etc.) but excludes cosmetic damage, scratches, or wear and tear.
- Power Assist System: Two (2) year on the Motor, Controller, Sensor, Display, Throttle, Lights and Control Pad.
- Battery: Two (2) year or 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first. The battery is designed to retain up to 75% of its original capacity during this time.
- Mechanical Components: One (1) year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
- Exclusions and Limitations
The following types of damage and components are not covered under this warranty:
- Other branded components equipment such as the front suspension fork, derailleur and brakes that are covered by their own manufacturer’s warranty.
- Damages caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, incorrect assembly, lack of maintenance, improper handling, inadequate storage, or exposure to harsh weather conditions such as salty air or roads covered with de-icing salt.
- Normal wear and tear parts, including but not limited to: Tires, Inner Tubes, Rims, Spokes, Bearings, Brake pads, Chain, Chainring, Cassette, Grips, Saddle, Cables, etc.
- Damage caused by modifications or alterations to the product.
- Any costs related to shipping, handling, or labor fees.
- Warranty Process
To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:
- Contact the retailer where they purchased the E-Bike to present their proof of purchase with date and provide all information needed on the product (Model name, Size, Color, Serial Number, etc.)
- Have an assessment of the claimed defect confirmed by a qualified technician at the retailer where the E-Bike was purchased.
- Allow reasonable time for the retailer to submit a warranty claim to AIMA and receive instructions on how to proceed.
- If the product is deemed defective and covered by the warranty, AIMA will repair, replace, or offer a similar product at its discretion.
- Conditions for Warranty Claims
- The E-Bike must have been purchased at an authorized AIMA retailer and properly assembled by a qualified technician.
- The E-Bike must have been properly maintained according to the guidelines outlined in the owner’s manual.
- The owner is responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty claims. However, if a defect is confirmed and covered by warranty, AIMA will cover the return shipping costs.
- If a replacement is necessary, AIMA reserves the right to substitute a product of similar specifications or value.
- Limitations of Liability
- This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy available to the customer. AIMA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the E-Bike, including lost time, personal injuries, or loss of income.
- Legal Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary by province, and this warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable provincial or federal laws in Canada.
